Privacy policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
SiteHome helps you edit the content of your website from your phone. This policy explains which data SiteHome processes, why, and what you can do about it. SiteHome does not show ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell data.
Limited usage statistics
SiteHome counts page views and predefined product actions to improve the website and app. We use no analytics cookies, browser storage, visitor profiles, session recognition or daily visitor hash. The SiteHome backend sends only general page and action categories to our own EU PostHog project. Visitor IP addresses, browser information, account identifiers, search requests, CMS content and access tokens are not forwarded to PostHog. Each event receives an independent random identifier; we do not measure unique visitors or sessions. Timestamps are rounded to minutes. Infrastructure processes connection information to handle requests, separately from these counters. Our legal basis for this limited measurement is our legitimate interest in improving the service. Contact info@briankeetman.nl for questions or objections.
Who is responsible
SiteHome is run by Brian Keetman, the Netherlands. Questions about privacy: info@briankeetman.nl.
What SiteHome processes
- Your account: your email address and sign-in details. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider; SiteHome itself never sees your password.
- Access: which websites you can use and with which role, invitations you send or receive (including the email address they are for), and, for agencies, clients and contact persons.
- Your content work: concepts you save, photos you choose for a change (kept only until the change is published or discarded), the changes you review and publish, a history of publications, and the titles of the last 20 items you opened, so the Recent tab can show them.
- Website connections: the address of your website and the access key for your CMS, which is stored encrypted and only used to read and publish the content you choose.
- Website appearance: the icon and a snapshot of the public homepage of a connected website, so you can recognise it in the app.
- Agency profiles: the logo and contact details an agency enters for its clients.
- Counts of how many fields can be edited per content group, without any content, so we can improve SiteHome.
- The mailing list: the email address and language you leave on getsitehome.com to hear when SiteHome launches.
- Change requests: when you ask SiteHome for a change, your request and the content needed for it (the website's name and address, the title and description of its public homepage, the titles and short descriptions of your content to find the right item, and that item's fields, and photos you attach) go to our AI provider, which makes a proposal. So you can continue a conversation later, SiteHome keeps it (your requests, the answers and the proposals, no photos) for you only, until 30 days after your last request; you can remove it sooner yourself. It also keeps the time, your account and the website of each request, to limit the number of requests.
- Speaking: when you speak your request, your phone's speech recognition turns it into text; where your phone cannot do that itself, Apple's or Google's speech service does. SiteHome only receives the text, never the audio.
- Problem reports: when you report a problem, we keep your description, a screenshot if you add one, the app version, the device type, the screen, the website and the error message, and your email address only if you allow us to email you. The report goes to our own private list of problems on GitHub.
Why
To provide SiteHome: signing you in, showing the websites you have access to, saving your concepts and publishing what you approve. The legal basis is the agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping SiteHome secure and working well.
Where your data is stored
SiteHome uses these service providers, which process data on our behalf: Clerk (accounts and sign-in), Convex (the SiteHome database, in the EU), Vercel (hosting the website and web app), GitHub (our private list of reported problems, in the United States), Anthropic (the AI provider for change proposals, in the United States, under the EU standard contractual clauses; Anthropic does not use this data to train its models) and, for snapshots, a hosted browser service that only visits public homepages. Your website content stays in your own CMS (such as Sanity); SiteHome reads and writes it only with the key you provide.
How long
Account and access data are kept while you use SiteHome. Concepts and staged photos are removed when they are published or deleted. Publication history is kept so you can see what changed. An address on the mailing list is kept until you ask to be taken off. The time of a change request is removed after 31 days. A reported problem and its screenshot are removed from SiteHome after 90 days; the GitHub issue is kept until the problem is resolved. You can ask us to remove your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing info@briankeetman.nl. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
